The directional bars will run outside of your propwash in clean water, and by covering more area behind your boat you increase your chances of fish finding your baits.
We found that when fishing the directional bars, the more line that we let out the more scoped out the bars would run, creating a wider spread behind the boat. The bars were most effective on relatively calmer days but ran well even with winds up to 15 miles per hour.
