​July 5th, 2018 marked the season closer of All Water Adventure’s Shark Tagging Derby. If you hadn’t heard of it the Port Canaveral Shark Derby is a 12-month long shark tagging competition out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Derby participants tagged 139 sharks with the average size being 61-inches. The captains recaptured 3 sharks. 37 males and 102 female sharks. The biggest shark was caught within 5 miles of shore. Costa Rica Sportfishing Crocodile Bay May was a very exciting month here at Crocodile Bay and June is following suit. We have had favorable currents with blue water in close and some nice current lines with lots of bait holding around them. The offshore fishing has been excellent with good numbers of sailfish, a few marlin and some big dorado. We have had several days with double digit sailfish raises and one boat raised 30 sailfish in a single day. This is not typical for May, as usually the sail fishing slows down some, but I am not one to complain when the action is good.…

Yellowtail Shootout 2018 Results The successful completion of the 2018 Yellowtail Shootout presented by Costa Del Mar was one for the record books. Despite the nagging south wind and a lot of salt spray, a record number of tournament teams enjoyed good fishing with lots of 7 to 10-pound yellowtail, a good handful in the teens and low twenties and the winning fish crept into the 30-pound range.  Here are the Yellowtail Shootout 2018 results.
