Graham Wins First Place Award for Conservation Writing Gary Graham of Lake Elsinore, California, won the first place award in the John Reginato Conservation Award category in an outdoor writing contest sponsored by the Outdoor Writers Association of California (OWAC). The award was presented at OWAC’s semi-annual conference on May 7 in Sonoma. Graham won the award for his story on BD Outdoors called “A Glimmer of Hope: Baja Reef Conservation.” Reginato was an early promoter of outdoor tourism, particularly pontoon boating on Lake Shasta north of Redding. Greetings from Crocodile Bay Resort, It has been an interesting couple of weeks with some very noteworthy catches. Rick Miller and his adult son Rick Jr. were down last week.
