Capt. Greg Dini was born in Orlando, Florida, and began fishing at a very young age. He graduated to the saltwater environment at the age of 10, and soon mastered his home waters of Mosquito Lagoon while also traveling to Florida's west coast to fish the Charlotte Harbor area. He received a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Miami and got hooked on the three biggest species on the saltwater flats (tarpon, bonefish and permit). He transferred to play baseball at Tulane University, located in New Orleans, and was out on the water in no time, fishing the area that is considered to be the best redfish spot in the world. Putting in thousands of hours on the marsh and polling around in technical skiffs has made him realize how incredible and resourceful the Louisiana marsh really is.
