BD would like to introduce Capt. Steve Bent who runs fishing charters aboard the Free Spirit. He fishes a variety of trips from the Delaware Bay to the offshore canyons.

What are your other hobbies?

I enjoy hunting and golf in addition to fishing.

Favorite fish or game to eat?
A:
I actually don’t eat fish.

Growing up, did you aspire to be doing what you’re doing now?
A:
Yes, I did always want to fish for a living.

What would you consider as your “big break” or turning point in your career?
A:
I got my captain’s license in 1978 and that’s when it all started.

What is your favorite place on the planet so far?
A:
I would have to choose Florida.

What styles of music do you like?
A:
I prefer the oldies.

What is your absolute favorite type of fishing? (This is a hard one)
A:
I love whatever I’m fishing for today!

“Money no object”, what is your dream boat?
A:
The one I run today, a 34′ Calvin Beal.
